UK company ICC Solutions celebrated receiving their Queen’s Award in the International Trade category at a Gala Dinner which also commemorated their 20th Anniversary of Incorporation. The company, based in Cheshire, is regarded as a global leader in the provision of highly efficient EMV (known as Chip & PIN) test and certification tools. The Queen’s Award was presented by The Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, Mr David Briggs M.B.E., K.St.J. who is the Queen’s representative in the county. Also in attendance were The High Sheriff of Cheshire, The Mayor of Warrington, the Member of Parliament for Warrington South and a selection of respected international clients and partners from Canada, the USA, South America and Hong Kong.

This is the company’s third overall Queen’s Award for Enterprise, having won two in 2012, in the International Trade and Innovation categories. The awards are the most coveted corporate prize in the UK, honouring companies who have made an outstanding contribution to the British economy.

To help highlight the successes of British exporting, other guests attending were representing the Department for International Trade, the Institute of Export, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards team. Funds were also raised on the evening in support of the Warrington Youth Club.

Dave Maisey, CEO and Co-Founder, stated in his response speech: “We’re delighted that you can share this evening with us, you’ve all been an important part of our incredible journey. For 20 years, our team has stayed at the forefront of our sector and we are regarded as dynamic market leaders.

We have a firm objective of helping to further enhance British exporting, and committed to ensuring that the United Kingdom is clearly seen as excelling in international trade. We have recently launched an exciting new initiative in partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards team. “Exporting Excellence” is intended to ignite a passion for international trade in young people, making them aware of what it takes to become a successful exporter.

We hope this Award, along with our partnerships, will inspire others to investigate the opportunities offered by international trade and clearly show that Britain is open for successful global business.”

Wendy Maisey, Customer Relationship Director and Co-Founder adds:

“Such a prestigious Award is a huge motivator for our team, and means a lot to our clients in the UK and overseas. They appreciate the significance of the Award and are all proud to have played their own part in it.”
